Realestate.com.au is the largest property website in Australia and one of the leading property portals in the world. They have a huge advertising business generating multiple millions of ad revenue from blue chip clients but miss out on SME advertising revenue. They wanted to open up their ad inventory to SME advertisers and create a new revenue stream.
Solution
SECL Project teamed up with sister company Viztrade to create a self-serve advertising platform specifically aimed at SME advertisers. SECL Project implemented VizDirect, a fully customisable ad platform that is branded for realestate.com.au and enables SME advertisers to create an account and place ads direct on realestate.com.au
Outcome
Since its launch Promote by Realestate.com.au has seen exponential growth year on year and has generated over $1million in SME advertising revenue. So successful, REA Group have funded the development of a second self-serve ad platform for realcommercial.com.au
